Scratch building cone shapes isn't the easiest thing to do, so I elected to use the Revell
kit parts along with the photoetched parts from the New Ware kit.
The Revell kit consists of
three parts. After gluing them together with CA, I filled and sanded the four holes
where the LM support struts [inaccurately] protrude. Following
the New Ware and David Weeks sheets, I applied the proper photoetched parts to the SLA
part of the unit. I will apply the photoetch to the IU part of the unit after I do a
fit check once the S-IVB is completed.
